What is Print on Demand?
Print-on-demand (POD for short) is an order fulfillment method where you pick the products and our POD partner company prints and ships the goods to you on your behalf.
The benefit of Print-on-demand (POD) is to provide more size and color options for customers to choose from. The only downside of Print-on-demand (POD) is that there are no shirts in store stock for pick up. They will be printed and shipped directly from the printing company.
Artworks:
On the front, Jersey Discs’ August Sunrise Logo features a swoosh symbol that represents a sign from American Sign Language (ASL) representing a little 'J' designed by our very own deaf artist, Tim Woodford.
On the back, definition and sign language term for "BIRDIE" in disc golf to communicate this exciting feat using ASL. Two fingers bird beak Sign: Two fingers clipping motion representing the beak of a bird, followed by the sign for "BIRDIE".
As an owner of Jersey Discs who uses American Sign Language, it is a thrill to grow the deaf exposures among the disc golf community nationwide. This is the first of many future artworks that will be incorporating De'VIA (Deaf View/Image Art), which is a type of art that specifically aims to represent Deaf experiences and culture.
