About The Art

Kent Schafer PDGA #22662 is a member of the DGA Ambassador Team and the first deaf disc golfer to be sponsored by DGA. As someone who uses American Sign Language as their primary language, it has been a thrill to do Steady Ed proud in growing the deaf disc golf community nationwide. This is the second Kent Schafer's DGA Deaf Series hot stamp artwork, designed by the deaf artist Tim Woodford. The artwork incorporates De'VIA (Deaf View/Image Art), a genre of visual art that intentionally represents the Deaf experience and Deaf Culture.
Material Information

DGA's Pro Line plastic is a durable, high-performance blend that offers excellent feel and a reliable grip in various weather conditions. It sits between the SP Line (most durable) and the D Line (grippiest base plastic) in terms of stiffness and longevity. Pro Line gives the Quake a great combination of consistency and tackiness, ensuring a clean release while maintaining the mold's intended heavily overstable flight path even after moderate wear. This plastic holds up well to power and repeated use.

Designed for advanced control and wind resistance, its flight path is characterized by minimal glide (3) and a significant, predictable fade (3). This makes the Quake the perfect utility disc for reliable flex shots, spike hyzers, forced anhyzer lines that must crash back to the left (for RHBH throwers), and forehand approaches that require a strong finish. It excels in heavy headwind conditions where other midranges might turn over, guaranteeing a consistent, stable flight every time.
